Robusta coffee, known as “CoffeeRobu,” is typically used in espresso blends and instant coffee for its stronger, more bitter flavour and higher caffeine content. The largest producers of Robusta are Vietnam and Brazil, and its prices are influenced by weather conditions in these regions as well as labour costs and global demand. Robusta coffee is often more resilient to disease than Arabica, but its market still sees price volatility based on supply levels and consumer demand shifts. Trading for Robusta coffee is generally more active in the early European sessions.
